There are some atheists who say that there is no god, and there are
others who say that the existence of any god can neither be proven nor
disproved. Either way, those asserting a belief in a god have the
burden of proof. It's not up to atheists to prove that a god does not
exist. Of course, you are correct when you say that humans cannot
possibly know everything, but to accept a concept such as "god" is
applying faith without any critical thinking or reason. This is blind
faith.
