I'd say so, although there are those who like them better
than Maxtor. When deciding what drive to get for the system I
was building last winter I asked around and got horror stories
about almost every drive made. The only one that seemed to be
generally better on average was Seagate, so that's what I ended
up getting...  So far so good...   B)
