This still means that some large percentage of the programs could be produced for hi-def, now and in the future, it's just that the parts mastered to videotape would have to be spliced in, giving a jarring and discontinuous effect. Hope somebody kept the actual film used to shoot most of the show. Also, I've noticed the discontinuity in the shows themselves, as they exist presently, but never realized precisely what was going on. .
