Subj : Re: The Star Trek Brady Bunch connection To : alt.tv.star-trek.tos From : Graeme Date : Thu Sep 22 2005 10:21:47 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.star-trek.tos ]] Am I right in thinking that they took the Star Trek chairs, which were modified commercially available chairs: http://www.cloudster.com/Sets&Vehicles/STEnterprise/Burke_Chair/Burke... tore off the modifications, sprayed them green and put them at the Kitchen table on the Brady Bunch Kitchen set. I don't have a picture of the Brady Bunch Kitchen but when I see the show, those chairs look familiar. Also, Brady Bunch started production around the time Trek was ending production. ]] Both are swivel chairs, but the resemblance seems to end there. They're clearly not the exact same chairs, with or without modifications. There just isn't that much variation in swivel chair design. Same with salt shakers. That's why for Man Trap, they couldn't use an of the exotic salt shakers they got because nobody would know what they were, and had to settle for ordinary everyday ones. .
