ENT did not have one -- at least, not >one anyone wanted to hear. Babylon 5 had a story that many people found to be very good. But the series only achieved limited success. One long serial is a format that more and more shows are trying, and some have achieved extraordinary success with it, but it does make it difficult for many viewers to become involved. It's a practical question, not an artistic one.
