Well, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't just a tiny bit of that.... But it's simpler than that: I watched an episode of Firefly and just *did not like it*. It's really that simple. There's other non-Trek SF that I liked. Red Dwarf, for example. If they ever get off their dead asses and actually *make* the RD movie, I'll see it without question. And I love the series, too. Also I admit I even liked a few episodes of B5 and the new Galactica. I'd probably see movies based on those, too.
