Subj : Why Was Kahn So Much Better? To : alt.tv.star-trek.enterprise From : Ron Date : Mon Oct 10 2005 03:49:37 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.star-trek.enterprise I've been watching the episodes with the Augments again (as if I had a choice) and it struck me how radically different these punks are from Khan's group of supermen (and women). Khan's people were loyal to Khan and apparently to each other, but Soong's bunch are ready to cut each other's throats at the drop of a hat. Left alone, this bunch of super-punks would kill themselves off within a year; heck, probably a lot less time than that. Kahn's people were conquerors, but Soong's bunch are homicidal as well as genicidal maniacs ready to kill everything they can think of. I wonder if Soong knew that his people were so inferior to Kahn? It's a pity, kinda, that Kahn & company were sleeping in a generation ship; I would have loved to see what Kahn could have done to those young upstarts. Ron .
