It's not.  I'm "old school" trekkie ... and back in the day our
imagination was all we had to fill in the many blanks left by the
show.  There was some pretty cool stuff thought up during those times
and if present day fans want to dream up their own versions of ST in
any of its many forms then I saw more power to them.
