There were more Jews on Enterprise, thus the yarmulkes.  On Star Trek,
only Shatner and Nimoy were Jewish due to a future Holocaust affecting
Jewish Canadian actors.  According to ToolPackinMama, their characters
were so busy being gay, their beanies kept falling off.
Yep, both were cut...
