Like you, I like the new BSG but don't care to see ENT go that way. I do like the way Season 4 of ENT played out, at least for the most part, and would love to see more of that type of programming. >For instance, giving the Klingons superior weaponry -- that was plain >idiotic. If anything it would have been better to have them start out as I always sort of saw the Klingons as having inferior weaponry but in superior quantities. For me, at least, it made the Klingons fit in with the UFP milieu in my mind. >inferior in technology and then have some other race -- maybe >even humanity -- give them the technology, making a case for the prime >directive. The ENT Vulcans were not a major sore point for me but I had trouble buying into the concept of petulant Vulcans. Had it been a small number, while most were true to the Vulcans as we were used to seeing them it would have been a little easier for me. Had TPTB wanted a race with superior technology feeding tech to the Terrans little by little, the Andorians would have been a perfect choice. We know next to nothing about them as far as canon goes, so B&B could have had free reign. The Vulcans would not have intervened because it would not be logical to allow an immature race such as the Terrans to have "too much too quickly." >I could go on and on, but the depressing fact is a lot of the tripe >spewed forth in the first three seasons of ENT will remain a part of >canon.
