That's why i loved it, >warts and all. Where did all those fleets? Seasons 5-7, twice a season, they manage to get together really big task forces of ships for decisive battles. They lose most of them, and in one case, when they take back DS9, it looked to me like they were sacrificing a whole lot of ships just to let the Defiant through. In TNG Redemption, when Picard wants to put together a task force, it's clear that Star Fleet is still recovering from the Borg war that was a year before that. In DS9 they never had that problem. And anyway, where's the flagship in all that. I get that they couldn't, or prefered not to involve the Enterprise regulars in all the battle episode. But would it kill them to mention the Enterprise once in a while? Would it be so difficult to show the Enterprise-E as part of one of those "mini-fleets"? .
