They didn't direct it.  Plus Goldman is about 100 times better than
any TV composer. Throw in Oscar nominee supporting actors and you've
got a winning formula.

Braga and Berman have publiclly stated they have no love for TOS, so
how can they be expected to succeed with a pre-TOS series.

Then of course there's the complaint I've been making about ST for the
last 18 years....who wants to watch their heroes get their asses
kicked about?
