Subj : Re: Favouriet DS9 Character To : alt.tv.star-trek.ds9 From : Citizen Toxie Date : Thu Sep 08 2005 09:29:35 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.star-trek.ds9 I don't know who my favorite character is - Odo, perhaps - but my least favorite is that arrogant sissy Bashir. I loathe him the way O'Brien did during the first season or two - but why O'Brien eventually befriended him is beyond me. And it's not just his personality that irks me: it's the increasingly and inappropriately broad role he plays at the station. One minute he's treating a patient in sickbay; the next he's manning a sensor console on the Defiant or charging down the promenade with a phaser rifle in search of Changelings. Is he a doctor or is he MacGyver? Are we to understand that this massive space station is so understaffed that the chief medical officer is required to shoulder responsibilities in virtually every major department? If so, Sisko and Kira really should phone their bosses for extra help.
