I too believe that we are NOW in the days prior to the Rapture. Travelers realize a town is near when they are coming tothe country side because they see an abundence of signs. Likewise, we know that the Lord's coming is near because there is an appearance of certain signs. First, the seven Church epistles (Rev. 2-3 seem to reflect seven periods of time between the Lord's first coming and His next coming. We seem to be living in the times described by the last of the seven Churches, the Church of Laodicea (Rev. 3:14-22). If this view is accurate, it tells us that we are in the last time. Next, the Lord indicated that before the end, Isreel would return to the land in 'unbelief' and set up a nation. God told Ezekiel (Ezek. 37:11-14) that He would bring Israel back to the land in unbelief (the valley of dry bones). The nation Isreal was established in 1948. but Isreal today does not believe in Jesus as their Messiah; they live in 'unbelief' as the Bible says. Thirdly, we should realize that the end is near as we see the growth of internationalism. a one world monetary system, a global communication system (the internet?), a one-world economic system, and potentially a one-world banking system. All signs that could not be possible until now. Fourth, there is a strong ecumenical spirit in the world today that is dominated by tolerance and unity, even though there is a diversity of varied religions. The one-world concept that lays the groundwork for the rule of anti-christ. Fifth, there are many ecological, atmospheric, and social signs that point to the coming of the Lord Jesus. "For nations will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquates in various places" (Matt. 24:7); "many shall run to and fro" (Dan. 12;4); "knowledge shall increase" (Dan 12:4); "you will hear of wars and rumors of wars" (Matt. 24:6) and many others. Yes, the rapture is coming.... Newborn Christianity is a personal relationship, not a religion --- þ Synchronet þ Origin: The Hard Drive Cafe - Montgomery Al USA - www.hdcbbs.net .
