However you are add more to what is in the Torah, including quotes from the Rabbis (the Talmud) which are NOT divinly inspired, but the 'works' of man. > N> > N> Besides to be a Pharaisee one had to be married according to Jew > N> > N> tradition (i.e. Paul). > N> > > N> > But Paul wasn't married & made a pointof saying he never would be. > N> > > N> There is indication of Paul having been previouysly married when he wa > N> a Pharaises. The groom and bride were probably friends of the family and Jesus attended as a favor to Mary. Travelled/cohabitted? Boy are you reaching! Most of Jesus's company was male disciples and apostles. He never cohabitted with a women (you can never find ONE Biblical reference in the traditional writtings). He also had many women friends (Mary, Martha, etc), but they were supporters and financeres of His ministry NOT sexual partners. > Paul isn't mentioned in the company of any woman (except a married one who > taught him the Gospel) and certainly never at any wedding rituals. . . > Isn't it interesting that Paul's life was saved by the efforts of his Nephew warings to the Roman authorites about the effort of the Jew's to kill him. It was evident that he at least had family (sister, brothers) that were married and had children. As I said before being a Pharisee he was probably a member of the Sanhedrin, which DEMANDED a mam be married to qualify for membership, he was probably a widower who never remarried. Paul said "I wish that all men were as myself" (1 Cor. 7:17) For the Gospel's sake he chose to remain unmarried for the sake of his ministry.
