The understanding should be, of course, that only those Christians who live
accordingly(whose "fruit" is clear evidence of their having been "chosen") are
part of the known-to-God-only "Elect" which includes His original beloved, the
children of Jacob(Israel) who likewise live accordingly (as the prophet says,
God gives more value to the membership of the non-believer("pagan") who lives
according to righteousness than to the so-called chosen one(s) who live
according to lawlessness(lacking charity, justice, truth in their
lives/actions)
