Both he and his wife appear to have a fear of parking on concrete so 
they pull onto the lawn in the back yard whenever they come home.  
Likewise, they seem to also be afraid of backing up because they will 
drive around the backyard in order to go forward to get down the 
driveway.  But I guess if you are already on the lawn you may as well 
drive around on it.
