For all I know, the ZDF report may even be true. Anyone paying even cursory attention to nothing more than the big national media outlets will have noticed the glaring inconsistencies between the administration's positions and a little thing I like to call reality. That is unless they've got their fingers in their ears and are screaming, "I'm not listening," which I'm sure is precisely what a lot of people are doing. My only point is that while it may be nice to believe every negative story about them, the more outlandish[1] ones are self defeating. It provides a focal point for their counter-bullshit. In effect, it provides them with a free strawman to knock down, pound into the ground, dance upon and point out to the finger-in-ear "I support the Preznit" crowd with the nice, calming reassurances they have come to expect. It undermines the real stories of incompetence and stupidity. -- Jim [1] Outlandish and unconfirmed. There's plenty of outlandish and confirmed already out there. .
