Prices won't go up, they might not be available... at any price

When the big earthquake hit California years ago, and Clinton declared it 
a disaster, building materials were rerouted to the reconstruction...

I had some friends sign up for jobs in Branson at a new mideval theme 
park opening there. The park's backers, though flush with cash, could NOT 
BUY building materials to finish the park, and materials they had already 
paid for were diverted to California.

They opened only half finished, and folded in the same year.

A friend of mine ran the Jousting for the park, they bought him six 
percherons to run the events.

When the park closed they couldn't pay his contract but let him keep the 
horses, from what I heard he ended up spending the summer cutting hay (as 
a job) just to be able to feed the horses, much less himself and his 
family.
