Well, I think he's shown himself to be an idealist... he doesn't like to 
compromise his ideals, even to achieve his goals, and that I think makes

It was partly Cato's urging for a massive defeat of Caesar, when Pompey's 
wait him out strategy would surely have ended him.

I DO wonder what happened to Caesar's legions wintering in the Alps...
