I wouldn't rule out going altogether.

Most of the Creation "cons" [i.e. negatives] that people have listed are
probably true per most of the conventions they host, but I'm led to believe
that there's been some leniency whereas the official FS con in concerned.

I know numerous people who attended year after year and it appears to me
that the event has improved over time. If it was that terrible and that much
of a waste of time & money, it would have ceased to even exist by now, no?
