I'd probably stick with the Hauppauge series. It's been pretty stable. Got a recommendation? > > What Linux distribution? I still recommend Ubuntu. Probably Suse 9.3. My linux box at home is already running that version. I'll wind up with an HTPC that's windows based that will also be a gaming machine: AMD Athlon 64 4000+ / 2.4 GHz processor CPU Heatsink- Zalman CNPS7000-Cu CPU Cooler Athlon64 939pin SLI ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe PC3200 400MHz DDR 2 x 512MB PC3200 DDR400 ATI X800 Pro PCI Express Case - Antec LifeStyle Overture II Apacer 15-in-1 USB Card Reader Plextor PX-716A - DVD#RW (+R double layer) drive - IDE 2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 - hard drive - 200 GB - SATA-150 Sound Card Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value - sound card PCI 3port 1394 FireWire Card and use the DVI out to the Samsung DLP TV. I'd use Snapstream Beyond TV 3.x (and go to 4 when it comes out for HD TV card support). In the meantime, I'd also use my existing Dell Poweredge SC420 server for the Myth TV box. Theoretically, I should be able to get Snapstream to stream TV but I have the added problem of getting it over the SSH connection to work. -- "I'm just very selective about the reality I accept." - Calvin .
