You could predict everything that happened in Monstrous Regiment. Ever tried Tom Sharpe? Man has a vicious sense of humour. The 1st book of his I ever read was Riotous Assembly. It was dedicated to the men of the South African Police Force who were defending democracy as they saw it. It then left a rooinek Police Commandant to investigate the murder of a black cook by the daughter of a High Court Judge with a 4 barrel elephant gun because he refused to wear a rubber suit while he shagged her. http://www.randomhouse.co.uk/catalog/author.htm?authorID=2104 Have a look -- Paul R Overworked of Borg, you will be assimilated when I can get around to it .
