I feared that my memory had built this up to be more than it was. It hadn't. 
I've watched 5/6 of the first DVD, and it rocks mightily.

Somehow, I'd forgotten that Jim Hacker wasn't a complete idiot and that he 
managed to hold his own on a few occasions. It's very satisfying to see that 
happen. 

(Now someone explain to me what the hell a shadow cabinet is all about.)
