I had a helluva stereo system, it had never played DVD stereo 5.1 Dolby Surround before, the choice was obvious. My copy of the Princess Bride is the original DVD release, it was one of the last birthday presents my ex-wife ever gave me. The multi-platinum director's cut, widescreen whatever version came out like, a month later. I haven't bought the new version, and the TPB that I do have is still in its original shrinkwrap. I kind of burned out on it one summer in high school, and had only watched it one time since then to get the scripting right for doing the Inigo-Wesley fight as a college drama final. Because of that I had never felt the urgent need to buy the movie, I knew I would get it someday, but as I'm tough to shop for Anne thought she'd plug an obvious hole in my collection. -- "Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise.
