To give you some perspective...

Hubby & I watched the mini-series and thought is was interesting, and
that we'd be interested in watching any regular series that came from
that.  We thought we would like the series, but ended up loving it. 

I don't think the actual mini was bad, it just pales in comparison to
the actual series.
