The problem is you need someone who isn't a pothead to champion hemp oil energy, and they need a lobby big enough to make a difference in energy policy. You know this would also reduce emissions drastically, CO2 released from the burning of hemp biofuel would be CO2 that was until recently absorbed by the plant. Dinosaur biofuel releases CO2 that was generated millions of years ago. I wonder if they could replace the opium economy in Afghanistan and the we've got nothing but dirt economies in parts of Africa with cash crop hemp. Its not as if you couldn't surround the fields with fences and make sure the farm workers don't remove their 'crops' until harvest time. I used to work for a Hitachi memory fab when RAM was $30 per megabyte, they had to be absolutely certain nobody left with RAM in their pants. There were adequate securuity controls there. Its not like we had the advantage of chip sniffing dogs. Its another viable energy alternative that doesn't rely on miracle technology that we have right now, but somebody has to have the will to bring it about. -- "Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise.
