There is a meteorologist who was posting to DailyKos post-Katrina who said 
the category ratings for hurricanes were insufficient.  Katrina was cat-5 
only because the levels stop at 5.  His major point was that the current 
category system was not comprehensive enough and needed to be upgraded to 
also convey the scope of damage and geographical spread of the storms.

The warning was an accurate prediction, but the number alone was 
insufficiently informative.
