I get worse hangover like symptoms from Irish Whiskey than I do Scotch or Bourbon, and likewise with Mescal over Tequila. The barrels these are aged in are very much a source of different kinds of toxins. What is it that is aged in cognac casks? Don Julio Tequila? My wife bought me a bottle of that for father's day or something and it was unbelievable. .
