Thanks for the link. While I generally love to read film criticism, I have almost no interest in most critics' takes on Terry Gilliam. There are very few critics that seem to revere his body of work the way I do. I recall sifting through negative review after negative review of "Fear and Loathing" when it came out, thinking all the while, "Did they see the same movie I saw?" The years have been kind to "Fear and Loathing" and while I'm sure many a critic stands by their original thoughts, the film has proven its greatness and will stand the test of time. Many hated "The Fisher King" as well and that may be (oddly) my favorite Gilliam film of all of them. His work is something I've spent so much time viewing and dissecting, that almost no one is going to enlighten me or provide me any new insights that at the very least I haven't already considered on my own. Yeah, I know all of that sounds incredibly pompous, but it's how I feel and I'm uncertain that's there any other filmmaker I would say that kind of stuff about. -- RR "It's been my experience that every time I think I know 'where it's at,' it's really somewhere else." - William Holden - S.O.B. .
