Subj : A few words about "March of the Penguins"... To : alt.tv.farscape From : Ken McElhaney Date : Mon Sep 12 2005 08:27:56 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.farscape I nearly had a heart attack when I saw my local theatre had this one so I went yesterday. As documentaries go, it was pretty enjoyable and they kept it "real" by showing that many of their young don't make it. But the kids in the audience didn't seem to mind and all of them were transfixed to the screen, save one. There was one kid who sat behind me with zero attention span and an apparent inability to hear Morgan Freeman's narration (though he could hear everything else) so he unloaded a blizzard of questions to his "auntie" all through the picture. There was not three seconds of silence from this kid and his "auntie's" answers were usually what Freeman's narration just said. When the credits rolled and showed extra footage of the film crew "auntie" wanted to stay, but this kid would have none of it and darted out of the theatre. In his bleak little mind, he was probably wishing he could see another film, like "March of the Penguins". Which he no doubt, completely forgot he just saw. Ken - oh well, the penguins were cute... .
