Joining The British Peace Council = Joining the Communist Part. This is the same level of idiocy as the'wingers who claimed that the 100,000+ pre-Iraq War anti-war marchers were socialists because ANSWER was involved in organizing and sending some marchers along with the rest of the grannies, mothers, fathers, homeowners, students, soldiers, workers, and children. In other words, this is a simplistic and extremely offensive McCarthyite smear. setup by > the British Communist Party where he organized pro-communist anti-war > rallies so he wasn't a member of the communist party he was a member > of a group started by the BCP, funded by the WCP, which in turn was > funded by the KGB. What do you think he was doing? Meeting with Breshnev to discuss nucliear footwear. More McCarthyitism. You are using some very antique innuendo with virtually nothing to back it up. > >> and he avoided the draft in the Vietnam War: good for him! > > says you, though Carter pardoned all draft dodgers, I doubt the people > who were drafted and went to vietam would be so flippant and cavalier > Yes, because we must never give up a fight and should always honor the fallen by killing some more. Sorry. As an American we all have a right to make these judgements for ourselves. And I am quite certain that there are Vietnam vets who would have encouraged avoiding service at all costs and would have been perfectly willing to give anyone a pass, even a drunken frat-boy like Bush, if they did what ever it took to get out of going to Vietnam. = .
