Oddly enough I find that I only really like a creamy vanilla, I thought it was french vanilla, but all the high end brands have their own take on what that is... the easiest way I've found to get the flavor I want is to buy the cheap ass store brand vanilla... > (and yes, we need another Tivo.) I paid $89 for my 80 hour Series 2 it was a demo unit, $61 for an 80 hour with a bad hard drive, and I'm in about $50-60 in USB network cards for them both. I put a 120 GB drive into the working Tivo and 80 GB from the working one into the dead one I got off eBay. The 120 was a hand me down from my desktop which got a pair of cheap 200 GB drives. For reference there are 149 GB of shows from TiVo on my Desktop now. I now have a $99 250 GB drive, and a $79 250 GB drive just sitting in my living room both are the same model, and were from CompUSA sales 2-3 weeks apart. I have NO IDEA what I'm going to do with them... One idea is to replace the 200 GB drives with 250 GB drives, and pick up close to 100 GB of extra storage. The other idea is to run another box completely with the 2x250s and have it serve the whole house. Ideally I'd like a Linux box that could fake being a TiVo well enough that I could trade shows between the TiVo and the Server and the TiVos would never know the difference. -- "Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise.
