I am such a hard ass. I'm taking Jess and her two younger half sisters to the arbouretum on Saturday for a picnic. The other two have never been on a picnic before, the youngest is 5. They are under strict instructions that if one misbehaves they will all go straight home no arguing and I will shout at them. When I was telling them that, Jess turned round to them and said "he means it, he really will!" I think I have only shouted at Jess once, normally I just alter the tone of my voice. That one time she was only just 4 and I was cooking, she used a word that she quite obviously hears at home. I found her bawling her eyes out in the garden hiding under my mothers skirt. I get the feeling that I will be the strict and no fun daddy. Ted -- Stare too long into the abyss and the abyss looks like a nifty place to hide the bodies .
