And she's the damn luckiest (albeit pigheaded) friend on the face of the 
planet.  We got word from a mutual friend this evening:

   "[...] she and her family are fine, aside from
    cuts and bruises. One of the windows on her house
    was shattered, but otherwise it sustained little
    damage.

    Her sister's house (which is a couple of streets
    over) lost its roof.

    Her parents' house, which was in Biloxi, is gone.
    As are all the houses around it."

I don't know whether to [virtually speaking] hug her or throttle her.
