I had just woken up and it was still dark outside. It hadn't started raining yet. All of a sudden a big blue flash right in front of my face! While being rather freaky, it didn't actually hit me, but was way too close for comfort. The dog noticed how freaked out I was and headed back for the house. No way was she staying out there. Yeah, she ended up going potty in the house, too! Fun. Well, I didn't really want to stay outside any longer, either. Dog messes can be cleaned up, but a body hit by lightning can be permanently damaged. Only a momentary lapse in her housetraining. Later on, when the weather was quieter, she went outside, just fine! Dawn .
