Y'know, that was sorta my feeling too.  My ER 'experience' was rather
odd last night. I had a hellish migraine last night, so I was sort of
half watching, with the sound muted, and taping for later viewing.
(And, of course, reviewing here!) And my overall impression was that,
while there were some notable flaws, it was, by far, the best of the
season so far -- much more in the 'classic' ER mode than we've seen for
a while.

As Ellen said, Meyers has been around for quite a while now. (Which
made me wonder then, why he was still being described, later in the
eppy, as the psych resident.  I know that Carter was a resident almost
forever, but even he got to be an attending by S9. Is Meyers really
still a resident after 11 year years?

Great to see Kerry actually practicing medicine for a change. (Though I
didn't quite 'get' her squabble with Luka over treating the baby.)  Are
we supposed to get the 'she's now a mom so she's extra sensisitve about
injured babies' vibes from it?

I was very disappointed that they let that plot drop.  I have to admit
that I DIDN'T see it coming, and would have liked to have seen how Luka
(or any other doctor) handled it.

Yeah, that was a weird scene.  I guessed where THAT one was going as
soon as Dubenko started explaining his 'options' to Abby. I'll
definitely have to rewatch with the sound to get the nuances ... but so
far my impressionw as just 'weird.'

I'll rewatch as post a real review as soon as someone removed the ice
pick from my right eye.
