Subj : What's happening? To : alt.tv.er From : Dropping The Helicopter Date : Fri Oct 14 2005 04:24:16 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.er Was I hit on the head and hallucinating, or did I just watch an actual *SOLID* episode of ER? ....oh. I see. One last gasp before the "Leguizamo Shitstorm". Welp, time for my bullet points: - Did anybody else notice the cameo by Screech from Saved By The Bell, as the psychologist Neela called in for Wall Crasher Woman? - And who is that intriguing new redheaded doctor? The one with the crutch? If TPTB play it right, she could become a solid character. Just a feeling I have. - Guess which two non-characters were (virtually) missing from this episode? Yep, Drs. Doogie Hauser and Archibald Morris. Well, to be fair, Morris did reprise his "falling on ass" role that he's famous for, but other than that, the episode was devoid of both of them and was immeasurably better for it. - What do you guys want to bet me that Miracle Coma-Waking-Up Girl is never heard from again, in yet another in the long list of TPTB's missed opportunities? - The "New nurse doesn't know where the bedpans are" bit was A Microplot Too Far. - As creepy, icky, and hateful as Creepy Surgeon Guy is, they pulled off that coffee scene between Abby and him incredibly well. "What about after?" "Yeah I'm going to have to pass on that too." That's vintage ER right there. - Speaking of Abby, coffee, and vintage ER, the whole deal with her throwing the coffee at the guy and then the reprise later was PURE GOLD! - The hair Abby had for the bulk of this episode is her Ultimate Hairdo. It's the Do that takes her from semi-hot (bad hair) through medium-hot (normal Abby hair) all the way to MUCHO CALIENTE! THAT'S ABBINESE FOR "SUPER-HOT"! - Kubiak gets hit by lightning. KA-LASSIC. That is almost as good as Luka beating some punk to death. .
