Subj : Sherry Stringfield Leaves "ER" To : alt.tv.er From : Sharon Date : Tue Oct 11 2005 17:45:21 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.er Sherry Stringfield Leaves "ER" http://www.tvfodder.com/archives/2005/10/sherry_stringfi.shtml Granted, she's no Anthony Edwards or Noah Wyle, but Sherry Stringfield deserves some kind of goodbye. The TV Squad is reporting that Stringfield has checked out of "ER" -- again. She probably wasn't the ratings grabber that Edwards, Wyle or George Clooney was, but it's just not right. Maybe producers figured one goodbye per series is all one actor is allotted. After all, Stringfield already had one grand exit in 1996, only to rejoin the staff in 2001. Her part was getting smaller, and frankly, I didn't see her going anywhere after she had the baby. But like Laura Innes' Kerry Weaver, I figured she'd be popping in from time to time to give everyone crap about how they weren't doing something right. Maybe NBC thought no one would notice, with Kristen Johnson and John Leguizamo moving in over the coming weeks. Either way, you can say goodbye to the last original main cast member, kiddies. Hold your own vigils, I guess. How ironic that Stringfield is currently wrapping a movie called "Gone." Good for her, although the only name that I recognize in the cast in the guy that played Newman on "Seinfeld," so make your own judgments. "ER" is currently in its 11th season and still running strong, every Thursday at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola .
