Wow, Greece! Lucky Doc. I love Greek food. Can you tell us a bit about your trip? Also, you _do_ want to watch the first 2 eppies, even if you fast forward or mute the sound in all parts not Luka. There's lots of Luka time though, especially in the 1st eppy. YAY! Love and God Bless always, Lorraine }i{ I thought Greece was terrific, the scenery was spectacular. Went on a cruise first to Mykonos (Paris and her ex fiance used to hang out there), then Rhodes (wonderful) where I saw the Acropolis at Lindos, among other things. Lots of climbing centuries old stairs to get to the top. Didn't take the donkey up, didn't want to break its back. Then went to Patmos and saw the Church of the Apocalypse, which is in the cave where John wrote the Revelation. There happened to be a Greek Orthodox service going on at the time, the spiritual feelings it engendered are hard to describe. Then to Kusadai, Turkey (shopping in the square there with all the hustling Turkish sale guys is not to be missed, lots of bargains and lots of laughs if you're in the right frame of mind about it). From there, went to Ephessus, the best preserved ancient Greek ruins, essentially the entire town has been excavated, incredible. Back in Athens, did the Acropolis/Parthenon of course, as well as the Straka. Went out to dinner and had a traditional meal with ouzo, complete with lots of Greek dancing and throwing of plates. Then, went north to Kalambaka/Meteora as described. A day at Delphi was well worth it. Then on to Olympia with visits to the Corinth Canal and the theater at Epidaurus and Mycenae on the way back to Athens and home. I didn't think I'd like the food as much as I did. Believe it or not, Gyros and Souvlaki are not the staples of the Greek diet. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies are. Doc Sharon .
