we should start a club. as i told a friend the other day, having rabbit
ears makes me retro and, therefore, cool. :)

the funny bit is that i do have TiVo, and through the magic of its
compression algorithms, when the signal is unwatchable, it simply cuts
out that bit of the program rather than recording it -- so sometimes
i'll come to an "hour-long" program that's only about 20 minutes long,
as happened with last week's ER.  

mostly though, broadcast TV is fine with me. i don't mind a little
shadow or color distortion so long as i can still see the picture; i've
got a 13" tv so i'm not competing in the fabulous-picture Olympics
anyways. plus, free is good. :)
