Yes, I believe this. One night with our first, I was exhausted and fell asleep nursing her. She was in bed, in between us. For some reason, I had my arm above her head on the bed (toward the top). This was fortunate, because in his sleep, my husband's arm came crashing down and hit MY arm, not the baby's head. After that, I always put her on MY side of the bed, not between us, if I was drowsy.
