Sure tragedies happen all the time...but this was the exact reason why
cribs were invented because this type of thing happened all the time in
colonial days.  My friends were not drunk or on drugs or heavy
sleepers.  He rolled over on her and that was that.  It can and does
happen- it isn't that rare.  It is a dangerous practice, one with no
real value.  If a toddler or a child  has a bad dream  let them crawl
into bed but there is no reason to bring a baby into bed.  None.
