Then it got better. I was breastfed as a child, for about 4 months. It's still longer than a lot of kids, back in 1960. My dad was even present for my birth. It's why my parents picked the hospital that they did! It was a "normal" thing, yet, in 1960! Sarah was jaundiced, since she was a month early. The doctor made us stop. Maybe I shouldn't have. It took a bit to get started again, after having been on bottles for a few days. If I could do it over again, I would have just kept on nursing. We did rent a breast pump and I did pump for those few days. Dawn .
