I'm not saying the bulk of them will change, but when you become a successful breastfeeder, you may understand better where some of us are coming from. And for the record, breastfeeding is recommended for at least the first six months, if not 12. :-) Good point. As outsiders it's easy to look at a child of X-age and say "I can't imaging breastfeeding a child that old. He's so big! But as a parent, that 'big' child isn't really any 'bigger' than he was the day before. Children grow up gradually. (But still too fast . :-( ) AAP recommendation is for exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months, and breastfeeding plus solids for a minimum of another 6. Naomi .
