Subj : ER is sad To : alt.tv.er From : Nicole Floyd Date : Sat Sep 24 2005 08:32:05 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.er First I don't think Crichton has anything to do with the show anymore. As a former Intern he would have to correct these things. But I can suffer through that as long as he keeps on writing. Trauma hospitals such as the one shown on ER is a leader in Emergency medicine. Thousands of doctors/interns/residents would die to have a chance to work in a trauma hospital in a major city such as New York/CHICAGO/Los Angeles. They have plenty of resources, and a talent groups that would make your head spin (Chicago alone has Univeristy of Chicago, Northwestern, UIC) the early seasons respected this. Now I don't think they give a darn. The crappy stapling Abbey did to that person head laceration this Thursday would get her kicked out on her ass. Students and interns rate their teachers...if someone is lacking they are shown the door...or at least demoted, etc. What sickens me is that show this hospital as struggling with the bottom of the barrel. If they gave any time and thought they could make them all leading doctors which interesting cases and side stories. All we get is Daphne from Scooby Doo whining about how her son ran away anda truly competent and up and coming doctor (Nela) making a Intern cry. Lava .
