And the box is greyed out to show on the taskbar. I'm going to try another pci slot. But I've got some good news. I just attached a better monitor and another keyboard to my laptop, and am able to play my mohaa game alot better online. It's a dual boot, so I can enjoy slackware on a much bigger monitor also. I'm almost certain that the soundcard on the win98 sytem is good, (i can play cd's through it no problem), it's just a configuration issue. On the same system I wasted a day and a half trying to configure (under linux) a bad ethernet card. Thanx for taking the time to respond, and soon I will try another pci slot. *Lord Eros* --- þ Synchronet þ Vertrauen þ Home of Synchronet þ telnet://vert.synchro.net .
