There were/are responsibilities up and down the chain of command, from the police officer working the midnight desk up to and including the president. I don't recall that he's stated, at any time during this ordeal, that he didn't accept responsibility for it. That would be kinda stupid, wouldn't it? What I was alluding to was, again in my opinion, there are some who I have sufficient knowledge today that I would judge as being derelict in their personal duties. I wouldn't comdemn Chertoff simply because of his position as head of DHS; however, if I were the president, I would condemn him because he failed to provide me accurate information for decision-making. That is one of his (obviously too many) duties. Fortunately for him, I'm not a judge! Perhaps Bush was derelict in some presidential function. If that's the case, you can be sure there are enough opponents in the house and senate to identify his errors! As I stated earlier, should that happen, I will revise my opinion! --- þ Synchronet þ BBS Doors (www.bbsdoors.com) .
