Some, yeah. Those that see me occasionally and ask straight-out why I haven't been at their doors, for instance. A lot of people who ask me, every year, THE dumbest question relevent to an election - "who should I vote for?" and I have to explain how, if I answer that, I'm doing them a disservice. Enough to make an impression on the numbers, but nothing truly spectacular. People, by and large, are awfully hard to motivate in a cohesive manner without parliamentary rule to organize around. *shrug* But no one ever said it would be easy. The phone still rings pretty often over one issue or another, one person asking for support or a group looking for tactical advice, and my Inbox gets more and more full every day with the same. People recognize the problem, but who knows. All I can say is I'll give it my best shot and if that fails, I won't have any regrets. I've never wanted to lead. Stepping out of the box doesn't make me miss a thing about it. It actually feels pretty damned good.
