Erp -- yes.  I said "Officially" but actually meant to say 
"UN-officially".  The old rhyme goes:

	June: Too soon.
	July: Stand by.
	August: Come it must.
	September: Remember...
	October: All over.

According to this rhyme, June is BEFORE the hurricane season, and October 
is AFTER the hurricane season.  This places the season from 1-July thru 
30-September.  But Officially, it is 1-June through 30-November, as you 
said.
